Zooki collects information to provide and improve its services. This includes:
- Audio recordings created within the app, when you use Zooki to record lectures or personal notes.
- Audio files uploaded from external sources, such as recordings made on other devices or applications.
- Documents imported by the user, including PDFs and similar files, which are processed to extract text for summaries, flashcards, and quizzes.
- Content generated from your inputs, such as transcriptions, study summaries, flashcards, and quizzes created by Zooki.
- Account information, including your name, email address, and password.
- Profile information, such as your age, academic year (for example bachelor, master), and location (country and city), which are collected to personalize your learning experience and help us adapt Zooki to different educational contexts.
- Usage information, including device type, IP address, and analytics data to help us improve performance and user experience.
- Payment information, if you choose to subscribe to premium features.
All data is collected and processed solely for educational purposes, in order to provide you with transcription, revision, and gamified study tools.
3) Our commitment to data security
To prevent unauthorized access and maintain data accuracy, we use industry-standard methods to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. However, you recognize that data transmitted over the internet or stored in facilities to which online access is provided cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We are committed to protecting your information as we would want our own information protected.
In the event that personal information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will promptly notify those persons whose information has been compromised, as required by applicable law.
4) Educational and personal use only
The services of Zooki are designed strictly for educational purposes and personal study. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that they have the right to upload and process any audio files or documents they import into the application. You may not use Zooki to record or upload content in violation of intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws.
Zooki does not enable sharing of audio, transcripts, summaries, or any derived study content. All materials remain accessible only to you through your personal account.
5) Notifications
It is our policy to provide notifications, whether required by law or for operational or marketing purposes, via email, in-app notices, or through conspicuous posting on our website. We reserve the right to determine the form and means of providing such notifications.
6) Child protection
Zooki is designed for students in higher education and does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 16. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 16, we will delete such information promptly and cancel the corresponding account.
7) How you can access or correct your information
You can access and update your personal information directly by logging into your Zooki account and modifying your settings. Your password is required to edit this information, even if you are already logged in. You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@zooki.ai. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
8) Use of user information
Information you provide or that we collect may be used to improve your user experience, provide targeted study suggestions, and enhance the functionality of the app. In particular, your age, academic year, and location may be used to adapt study recommendations, tailor reminders to exam periods in your country, and help us understand and improve our services across different regions.
We may use aggregated and anonymized data for research and development purposes. Except as required by law, we will not sell or disclose your personal email address, IP address, or payment information to third parties for advertising.
